Our Pre-Primary classroom provides a nurturing, faith-filled environment where children grow in independence, confidence, and respect for themselves, others, and God’s creation. Rooted in Montessori principles and guided by Catholic values, our program is intentionally aligned with the Florida Early Learning and Developmental Standards to ensure developmentally appropriate, comprehensive learning experiences that support the whole child.

Our Pre-Primary classroom operates with an age span of twenty to forty-seven months.

Language development is a central focus, with rich opportunities for conversation, storytelling, songs, and early phonemic awareness. Children are encouraged to clearly express their thoughts, build vocabulary, and develop early literacy skills through meaningful, hands-on experiences.

Practical Life activities—such as pouring, dressing, cleaning, and caring for the environment—support independence, coordination, and responsibility. These purposeful experiences foster concentration, confidence, and a strong sense of personal accomplishment.

Sensorial materials engage the senses and help children refine their ability to observe, compare, and classify the world around them. Through exploration of size, shape, color, texture, sound, and more, children build cognitive foundations that support future learning in language and mathematics.

Children are also guided in developing self-awareness and emotional understanding. They learn to identify and express feelings, practice kindness and empathy, and participate in simple faith-based practices such as prayer and gratitude, nurturing both character and spiritual growth.

Early mathematical concepts are introduced through hands-on activities involving counting, sorting, matching, patterns, and sequencing. Fine and gross motor skills are developed throughout the day, alongside opportunities for creative expression through art, music, and imaginative play.

Faith formation is gently woven into the daily routine through prayer, gratitude, and an atmosphere of peace and reverence, nurturing each child’s growing understanding of God’s love.
