Our Level I environment is a peaceful, carefully prepared space that honors each child as a unique creation of God, deserving of love, dignity, and gentle guidance. Rooted in Montessori philosophy and enriched by a Catholic spirit, the classroom provides infants with a secure foundation to explore the world through movement, the senses, and meaningful, developmentally appropriate experiences. Instruction and care are intentionally aligned with the Florida Early Learning and Developmental Standards to support growth across all domains of early development.
In this nurturing environment, infants are invited to engage freely with simple, purposeful materials that support early exploration in language, motor development, and sensory awareness. Through movement and hands-on interaction, children begin to develop foundational skills in coordination, attention, and trust—key building blocks for lifelong learning.

Our Level I classroom operates with an age span of six weeks to eighteen months.

Language development is supported through responsive, loving interaction. Caregivers consistently model gentle, clear speech, narrate daily routines, and engage infants through songs, facial expressions, and conversation. These early experiences support emerging communication skills and lay the groundwork for future language development.

Sensorial exploration is central to the infant experience. Children are given opportunities to see, hear, touch, and move within a thoughtfully prepared environment that encourages curiosity and discovery. These early sensory experiences help build neural connections essential for later cognitive, language, and physical development.

Motor development is supported through safe, open spaces that encourage reaching, grasping, rolling, crawling, and early walking. Each child is given the time and freedom to develop at their own pace, fostering confidence and independence while respecting individual developmental timelines.

Social-emotional growth is nurtured through consistent, attentive caregiving that fosters secure attachments and emotional trust. Teachers model kindness, patience, and gentle care, creating an environment where infants feel safe, valued, and understood.

Daily rhythms—including feeding, rest, caregiving routines, and quiet moments—provide predictability and stability. These consistent routines support emotional security and reflect our Catholic identity, gently introducing a sense of peace, love, and reverence into the child’s earliest experiences.

Faith formation is gently woven into the daily routine through prayer, gratitude, and an atmosphere of peace and reverence, nurturing each child’s growing understanding of God’s love.
